Do you need to be able to Handstand before starting the course?

No, the early levels of the programs use Pike Push Ups and wall assisted drills. The course includes a handstand balance tutorial

Do you need any particular equipment?

Not for the HSPU drills, as they can be done using the floor and a wall. It's useful to have a pull up bar not essential
